The Estate of Sylvia Moy LLC dba Masterpiece Sound Studios mourns the passing of singer/songwriter/musician and Cover Song Contest Judge, Ivy Jo Hunter. Ivy Jo and Sylvia Moy co-wrote with Mickey Stevenson, the hit Motown song “My Baby Loves Me” originally performed by Martha and the Vandellas. He was really proud to be involved with and to serve as a Judge for the Cover Song Contest sponsored by Masterpiece Sound Studios, in partnership with Sony Music Publishing. Not only because Masterpiece Studios was founded by Sylvia Moy in 1973, upgraded, refurbished, and reopened by Sylvia’s 8 siblings in 2018, but also because he believed in and shared our mission to promote the legacy of Sylvia Moy which is to continue to celebrate great songs like “My Baby Loves Me” and the songwriters who wrote them.
Hunter was 82 when he died. He will be missed, but certainly, as far as the Estate of Sylvia Moy LLC dba Masterpiece Sound Studios is concerned, he will never be forgotten!
